Coaxials

I would like some good coaxials (6.5) that will be amped 50x4. I've searched on the site and saw different opinions on what is and isn't good. I don't want to go the component route primarily because i'm on a budget for speakers, $100, for some coaxials. Thanks

I bought some alpine type r coax's and am really impressed with their quality. No idea how they sound, so please consider that.

pioneer rev's are still highly reccomended

Thank you all for the recommendations. I'm looking strongly at some Memphis Reference speakers from a local dealer. I have heard a pair of Memphis and I really liked them.

I may just get some PPIs 5 1/4 components instead. I think I may just run a component set and a sub and still not be out of too too much dough.

$139 shipped from ikesound will get you a set of ppi 356's which will do braxial setup.
I see you have the PPIs also. How do you like them? Will a 5 1/4 sound good with some deadening and around 50-80 watts sent to them?

I think they would sound good but im a fan of 6.5's. Why cant you run the 6.5's?

I like the ppi's a lot. they are really clean and have great midbass and the tweeter is very nice and mellow but can keep up with any type of music. they can play down to 80hz no problem with ease and have a lot of install options. the xover is the best ive seen too.

I can. I was trying to keep the cost down where I could. I wanted to not go over $400 for the amp, sub, and components if this is possible. I've done a little researching and think I can get close to that amount.

good! you wont be disappointed you got them! I don't know what the other gear you were looking into was but a few good areas to save money would be on the amp and wiring kit. Look into Cadence amps as they have the best price per watt and are of great quality. Look into knukonceptz for the wiring as they hae some of the best yet cheapest sets around...I think you can get a 4g kit for like $50
