Coaxials or Components

Well, I blew one of the 6.5's in my front stage (check sig for specs), so now I need to make a decision:

buy another set of 6.5's (whether it be the same ones or different)

step up to components (kickpanels maybe?, active?)

What does everyone think?

If I got with coaxials, it'd be mainly to keep the price down and the install easy, so what you would recommend (under $100/pair)?

If I went with components, should I mount them in the stock locations (doors, dash) or buy some q-logic kick panels? I'm leaning towards the kicks if I go this route just because I don't want to take apart my dash.

Should I look for some that come with a passive crossover or go active? I think I like the looks of the 6.5's that Ascendant has, along with the Vifa tweets they sell, and maybe even their crossover parts, but I'm open to suggestions (not too expensive though).

If you dont want it to be too expensive i wouldnt recommend going active. What does that profile lay down RMS? I would say go with components and keep the stock locations.

but i think profiles are over-rated.

how are the infinity reference components? are they gonna outperfom the same model coaxials i have now?
