Clipping

Yeah the 8 gauge power wire has to go whether it is ground or power wire. same page though, whatever ur power wire is ur negative should be the same. And what he saying is to play that frequency (as it is a higher frequency) and adjust until you no longer hear that frequency or not as much. and what gauge are you running to your subs?

you mean the speaker wire? not sure what your asking.

okay. to make sure i get this straight..im about to go out there and try and fix this clipping problem

do i need to turn the gain down or the low pass filter? and my 0 gauge kolossus flex just came in so will that help any if i upgrade my ground wire from 8 gauge to 0 with that? also someone told me that the reason its clipping is because that just means my alternator is telling me to upgrade it so to speak. is that correct?

alright..im obviously doing something wrong..i went outside and played the test track the 63hz one from the site above and i turned it up a good bit on my cd player and there was no clipping..but i didnt touch anything on my amp yet.

someone help me and tell me what im doing wrong.

listen kiddo. use the 63 hz test tone. put it on. turn the vol on the cd player up 3/4. go to amp/sub. if your sub is playing this tone (you can hear it) then adjust the lpf down to a lower hz so that you can just barley hear the 63 hz tone being played. and make sure the gain on that amp is not beyond 3/4 of all the way up and same with bass boost. if you cant do this youre helpless =P
