So since Obama is black he isn’t fit to be president?
McCain was a P.O.W. but how does being a war hero make him a good president?
Really people need to look around and make educated decisions before voting. The US dollar is falling daily, Inflation is soaring, Crude oil is setting records weekly, People are losing their jobs and houses at an alarming rate, more and more of the world want to see the USA fall, and health care is harder to get and costs more.
So we need a President that will work on issues at home and humble ourselves. It will take a lot for America to regain what it has lost over the last 7+ years.
To increase the dollars worth in global currency trading interest rates at home will have to come back up, Many people caught up in the credit and housing crunches will have to endure hard times, at the same time companies who approved home loans to families that could not afford them need to be held accountable. Increasing the dollars worth will help control oil prices and so will strong diplomatic relations with the Middle East and other OPEC member countries.
You have to think McCain is a rather old man at 72 yrs old and has stated that he will maintain war in Iraq until we win.
There is no way to WIN in the sense of the word. The best that can be done is set secret timetables for the Iraqi government to take more and more control of their country and start withdrawing our forces.
It is easy to crush any military force with ours, any in the world but once there it is a different story to maintain control when it is not the peoples will. The military fight changes and warfare of the enemy is changed to better hit our targets. We learned that in the revolutionary war when we created guerrilla warfare.
For the USA to stay on top and keep the title of a super power we need to rebuild from within. All super powers over the world’s time have fallen. With a democratic process we the people control the fate of who runs our country for the next four years.
This is a very important election and people need to look past racial lines and look at what each candidate has to offer and how it will affect our current and future living.
Because the USA cannot withstand another 4 or 8 years like the last ones and still maintain our position in the world and still maintain the world’s strongest economy.
Our per capita per family is a little over 43,000 a year on average. That is good but if inflation rises at 9% and our economy grows at 3% we are losing.
There is already wide spread talk by OPEC of trading oil on a different currency than the US dollar since it has fallen so much in the last eight years. China and other countries are catching up very fast in controlling the world’s economy.
All I am saying is vote for the best person; People are tribal and are known to stick with their own. But its 2008 and the USA needs the best Leader it can have in these times. Obama is black but does not stand for blacks, he stands for Americans.
