sorry dude..i dont want to pay for your brains to be scraped off the concrete because you didnt want to wear your seat-belt...on the other hand, i cant say i care about my tax dollars being spent on possibly saving the lives of people who lives were spaired by a seat-belt..i worked ER for a while, i too know what not waering a seat-belt can cause.

of course you're right. i wear one on the freeway. not so much in the city.we should ban motorcycles, skate boards, sky diving, and unprotected *** then.

i sometimes will put my seatelt on when i get in a car and im not even going anywhere..force of habit. I think its stupid to not wear a seatbelt..My dad actually has 3 of his baby teeth stuck in his lower lip because the car he was riding in as a kid didnt have seatbelts. smashing my face on the dash doesnt seem like a recreational activity to me..

i think that unprotected *** should be illegal..i woulnd have to watch this shit on day time tv if it were..stop feeding the africans and start giving them condoms with the money from the idiots not wearing their seat-belts

seat-belt violation was ~$100 in Houston, and its the same in Vancouver/Portland

skateboarding becomes more illegal all the time. people are allowed to nearly block the road with a bicycle, but riding a skate board is almost illegal anywhere. just like seat belts, all the nannies have pushed their opinions on everyone.

i skateboarded for years and i snowboard currently..if kids werent a bunch of punks and parents wouldnt sue for injuries caused by their dumbass kids it probally wouldnt be as frowned upon..living in Portland, i ****ing hate bicyclits, so i agree on that point whole heartedly

noone can argue the point of safety or the common sense of it, of course you're correct about that. it's still a freedom thing though. by your logic and alot of others, anything dangerous should be made illegal. we won't be able to step out of the house.

it's the same thing as seat belts. they should be legal and all the money made from the leagalized drugs should go in to education about why to not use drugs. mainly for children.

According to many economists {Gregory Mankiew} , and others, and the book Unsafe at any Speed; you are more likely to be involved in an accident wearing a seatbelt vs. not wearing a seatbelt.

ALSO: Those who wear seatbelts are more likely to speed (AND AT A GREATER RATE OF SPEED) than those who do not wear seatbelts, and thus CAUSE more accidents.

HOWEVER: Those involved in accidents who did NOT wear seatbelts are more likely to DIE than those who did wear seatbelts.
