Clemson Vs. Bridge Program?????

Well, i was initially denied acceptance to clemson. I was accepted, however, into the bridge program. This program is classes that have been set up by clemson at the local tri-county tech school that help the student transfer with ease into clemson as a sophomore. I just received a call and an email today stating that i have the opportunity to join the freshman class in the fall of 09 at clemson if i was interested. I am stuck deciding what to do.

Tri-county:

The housing is AMAZING. 4 bed 4 bath all brand new with outdoor pool/lazy river and an awesome clubhouse. It is right on the lake with a field that rivals bowmans. The classes will be a little easier i imagine, and i still have a clemson student id that gets me into all the games for free or w/e a clemson student pays. I cannot rush or play some intermural sports. I already have 3 roomies lined up and was all ready to go.

Clemson:

Crappy dorms. Two roomies i am considering both are random right now but i am pretty sure would room with me. I have all privileges of clemson students and a little tougher classes.

The main difference is housing and the ability to rush for a frat...... What do you guys think??

Do you have any reasons? I feel that i wouldnt really miss anything doing the bridge prgram while maintaining a small distance from those who are going to clemson from aiken. I just had in my mind that most people want to come to highpointes to hang out..... You are 2 years deep though so i am curious what your reasons are.
sounds like your mind is made up.
Well, the housing attracts me a bunch, and easier classes to kind of just edge my way into things, but so many people have told me it would be beneficial and i would rather go straight into clemson that i might want to do that. Older people who have already done what i am about to get into seem wiser than just my initial wants.

The local school might not be a bad option, especially if you're eligible to enroll in Clemson your sophomore year. It may be an easier transition for you into college life. Also, I'd imagine it's cheaper than Clemson..
Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that... Tri-county is A LOT cheaper. The school is 3 min. from clemson's campus, and the housing is 2 miles with no stop lights in between.

I dont think the transition will be a problem either way but I think it would be beneficial to take classes with Clemson students and teachers vs. classes with tri-county students and teachers

I agree, but wouldnt it be like: i did well at tech school for a year and then struggled the rest of the way. or i struggled the entire time. i dont know what to do and i only have a 2 day window to provide a response.

I'm not implying anything towards how well you will do......I just think taking classes at Clemson will give you a better freshmen experience b/c you will be meeting more people who go to Clemson which is ultimately where you will end up

ohhh ok i see what you mean. I was like 100% set on bridging and not worried that i didnt get into clemson, so much so that i didnt even appeal my denial. Now that i was offered the experience i am having a hard time turning it down, while still having a hard time getting excited about it.

you should call up some Clemson folk who lived in the dorms and ask them and also talk to some people who did the bridge program and compare what they say about each

well talking with klaihn or w/e he said its pretty boring unless you join a frat. I think ashton bridged, but she didnt have the option of staying at highpointes and everyone said she was just constantly at clemson. So either way ill wind up on clemson's campus for the majority of things.... i am pretty sure ill wind up accepting the offer and go to clemson i am more worried about roommates i guess.

The first guy (chris)im considering dates tessa's roommate. i can just see problems happening because ill go do something with the roommate and hell go hang with the g/f causing me and tessa to constantly be around each other..... i will most likely wind up just doing this and not spending much time with him.

The other is chandler and he would be all around awesome i think but he might want to stick with random. I would feel bad ditching chris because i originally told him i would room with him and now am reconsidering.
