Cleaning rims

for my chrome rims, i use this stuff that i get localy from a company in my town called production, the stuff is called savage acid. you cant even breathe while you spray this stuff on cause it burns the shit out of your nose and throat. it just eats off all the dirt and dust. you spray on and rinse off imediatly. it does more than you can do with your soap and brush. but only for chrome. i guess it just eats up aluminum and what not.

i just looked on their site to give you guys a link, but i dont see it. next time i go in there i will tell the owner to put it on his site. i know the dudes son. i guess its only an in store product for now though.

Well, my opinions of Nevr-dull have changed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

The stuff does miracles. I spent about an hour on my right front wheel, and although it reeks and my arm feels like it's going to fall off, it looks practically new //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Took off grime I thought would never come off...does take a lot of elbow grease and a lot of wadding, but it will come off eventually.

Weekend project - doing the other three //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Although the rear ones aren't bad, it's just the fronts that were really badly corroded. Will post pics when I'm done...because I'm happy to finally see my rims again, hehe.

Yeah that Never Dull is damm good stuff.I use it on my rims and side bars on my Heep. When i first picked up my `74 Benz, the chrome n stuff on there was just nasty but a day of realy good cleaning and some never dull, she looked damm good.

I've got chrome...15's, fools //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But it's been a good two years since I've really polished them...hence the caked-on grime and dirt. But by Sunday they should be back to basically brand-new...I put about two hours into it today and got most of the tough work done. And I have brake dust under my fingernails...**** //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

ok, well of course it rained that weekend. and pretty much the next 2 weeks straight. so today i finally had a chance to try the gas. it got most of it off, but theres still some it couldnt get. it couldnt really get around the edge of the rim too well (the outer ring). and the big flat parts now have like really dirty water spots on them. my front left is worse than my front right rim, but neither look even close to my rear rims. sorry if my desciptions ****. id take pictures, but for some reason my mom's really expensive 6 mega pixel camera takes really crappy pictures, so it wouldnt do you any good anyways.

so yeah, im going out and getting some never dull tommorrow, that seems to be my last resort b4 sandpaper

Eagle One Mag Cleaner/Chrome Cleaner.

Spray generously, let it soak for 30 seconds, and rinse off. Then you'll need to repeat the process again, but make sure to brush it. Keeps my 17 year old rims perfect.

yeah, i think my rims are past the point of any of those standard rim cleaners doing anything to them. i think i need some kind of acid wash or something. do you think the brand of brake pads i use has an affect on the ease of cleaning the brake dust off the rim?
