Cleaning rims

use gasoline, works real good 2 get think brake dust and road tar and stuff off the car. put a lil on a damp rag or dry rag and scrub. then rinse off.
good idea, ill try that. i was thinking about that gasoline soap, mojo. but staright gas is better

Well have you got brake dust or just beat *** wheels?
You can always have the wheels polished, or painted for about $50 a wheel.
its break dust. when i got the blazer like 15 months ago, the rims were perfect. but i never EVER wash my truck, so that dust just sat on there for months at a time

Brake dust will eat the clear coat on any wheel, and as you now know it is very hard to remove once that has happened. If they are the OEM wheels, then use sandpaper all in one direction. Try and follow the machining marks on the wheel now. Start with 600 wet and then go 800 wet, then 1,000 wet. Once you have them looking all new again, clear them with some rattle can clear.

ok ill try that if the gas dont work.

thanx you guys for the ideas.

Use never dull like that one guy said. I had some beat up *** boyds rims and it made them look new again, well almost. If that fails then get some spinning hubcabs. That would look sweet!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

eagle one use make rim wipes......u can't beat those. I mean they are the best. And u do not need water.
I think my rims are past the point of either of these working. Im gonna try the gasoline this weekend. If that dont work, maybe ill try that never dull before i resort to sand paper
