Cleaning rims

What works really freaking good when cleaning rims. I cannot seem to get the **** brake dust off my front rims. soap and water takes of some, but theres still a ton on them. I bought this rim cleaner stuff, but it only does about as much as soap and water. Any1 know of some stuff that will get this crap off?

I never use rim cleaner, get on your hands and knees and scrub those beeches with a sponge or wash mitt. Another way is to put the head of a mop on to an electrical drill if you're lazy and pretty careful not to get electocuted.

Never Dull is that wadding stuff that smells like napthalene, correct?

Hell, if they make it, I've probably used it at one point or another...I think I'm to the point of renting/buying a small buffer or a buffer attachment for my drill and getting it off that way...because I can't seem to clean all the dirt/corrosion off.

no way man, its WAAAAY past that. i ALWAYS scrub my rims and it does nothing. i even used a toothbrush last time, and nothing... they need serious help

First of all you need a decent degreaser to remove the brake dust. Simple Green is good for this. Then you want to wash the wheels with Dawn dish soap (another good one at grease removal), then put a coat of regular old car wax on the wheels inside and out. This will make the dust wash off with soap and water, and helps keep it from sticking in the first place.

Pain in the *** the first time yes, but cheaper than new pads.

I'm with you on this...one winter of road salt = major problems.

My front rims look almost like polished lips, and heavy hand polishing only does so much //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
