I'm a huge fan of Sony and I consider this to be the last generation of great performance before the Xplod thing kicked in. I know she's not the prettiest but the flexibility of this amplifier alone makes it worth having and it sounds incredible. It has a power supply that can be configured to operate most efficiently either at high voltage or high current, meaning 1ohm stereo or 2ohm bridged without any worries (provided you aren't clipping it to death). It has variable high/low pass filter which can be defeated along with variable boost centered at 40hz. Rated at 100 x 2 @ 4ohm or 280 x 1 @ 4ohm.
Some specs from actual testing.
Output Power (resistive) minimum output 20 Hz to 20 kHz @ 1%THD+N (all channels driven into 4 ohms): 111 watts x 2 @ 14 volts,.91 watts x 2 @ 12.8 volts, 59 watts x 2 @ 10.5 volts
Output Power (resistive) minimum output 20 Hz to 20 kHz @ 1%THD+N (all channels driven into 2 ohms): 147 watts x 2 @ 14 volts, 121 watts x 2 @ 12.8 volts, 80 watts x 2 @ 10.5 volts
Output Power (4-ohm IHF Reactive Load @ 60 Hz, to clipping): 331 watts x 1
Signal-to-Noise Ratio (“A” weighted): –121.4 dB
Distortion at Rated Output @ 1 kHz: 0.1% @ 280 wattsx1
Condition is near perfect and I've never had a single problem with it. This thing sounds very good on a frontstage or a low powered sub. Find yourself the matching XM-754HX and you'll have 6 channels of clean power.
Steal it for $75 shipped. Sold! *Adjusted price $10 because I don't think I can safely ship this in a flat rate box and with my luck it will be one of you Cali guys who grabs this, lol.
