I agree also this would help alot. because sometime's some users just add item's that they do not show on the first page of there thread and then your just like wtf lol. agreed with this very good idea x2 on this.

ya it would help, as would making the classifieds unseeable until you reach a certain number of "quality" posts, say 100. that way only active members can sell and it would cut down on scamming

all this has been brought up before though and nothing was ever done

ummm this has been brought up like 10 times and everytime the mods come in here and say they dont want it to happen because it would make for much more work for them. at least thats what nG says.

i personally like the idea, but this isnt a new idea

I don't want to do it. Here's my brief list of reasons why;

1. Most people don't only sell one item at a time, or a single group of items at a time. So if some one were selling a headunit, amplifier, a couple subs and some wire they would have to create, and keep track of, 4 different threads for their "single" sale. Creates more headaches for the sellers.
   
2. This simply creates more wasted space than necessary and wastes both sellers and buyers time if every sale required multiple threads as opposed to one.
   
3. Buyers would have to track multiple forums instead of a single forum. And, if for example someone was interested in more than one item from the same seller they would likely post a "sent you a PM" in both threads again wasting time and space.
   
4. You might say "Well, then also have a general for sale section (what we have now) in addition to the subsections so that if you are selling more than one item you still have the option of creating just a single thread" to which I would respond "Then what's the point of having the subsections in the first place if majority of people are just going to create a single thread in the general classifieds section ? Ergo there is little to no difference, and little to no benefit."
   
5. Most people already have issues with posting threads in their proper sections. Doing this will likely result in an increase of threads that need moved to their proper sections. Or simply people disregarding the subsections and posting a single thread in the incorrect section for all of their items.
   
6. Greatly increases the number of threads moderators have to monitor for things like post dumping, etc. Creates more headaches for us moderators.

I like the idea...Its kinda rediculous that it only takes like 5 hours and your already on page three or four.

Thats what make it good to sell here though. The traffic. More segregating would only make more work on those mods that actually keep an eye on the classifieds. I don't think it is a good idea. Like you siad it is primarily a car audio forum, not Ebay.
