Clarion VRX935VD wiring help!!!!

Ok, I wired this thing up and only the display on the outside of the unit would come on, the screen would come out but no display and the tilt would work and it would close back. Then I turn the key off and it says good bye and turns off.

Then we hook the illumination wire up and now the same thing happens until my friend accidently turned on my lights and then it started saying Push Power and then I opened the screen and there the display was! It was saying to Push Power and I pushed power and it would do nothing.

Then we turned it off and then back on to see if it would do it again and it wont.

We also noticed that the lights for the buttons only come on if I have my lights on.

Ive only blown one fuse so far and it was the one going to the brain, but I replaced it and its fine now.

At this point I have the red, yellow, ground, and parking break ground and illumination hooked up.

Anyone have any ideas? Im stumped as hell...and I know it works cause it came on.

A wire somewhere is hooked up wrong. Thats all I can think of.

how did the fuse blow?

Not real sure.....

But I went back through and redid the wiring and the unit came on and worked perfectly. I turned the truck off and turned it back on and it still worked. So that was a BIG improvement.

Well, after that I took the harness back out to extend the rest of the wires, mostly just speaker wires. Then I bundled all of the wires together and ran it under my carpet and plugged it all back up to see if it would still work and now its not anymore. The outer display comes on but nothing else.

So, back to the drawing board once more....
