Clarion Dxz615 Error Code 6

I really don't want to ship that far //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif
I don't blame you, just thought I wold put it out there as an option for you.

Error 6 usually just means the laser can't read the data and can sometimes just need a good cleaning.

Shinny, I'm not sure what error 10 is that's new one for me. What model is it?

You guys might try resetting the units if you haven't already. Sometimes it works. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Somewhere on the front of the unit there should be a little button to push using a toothpick or a ballpoint, something small.

With the power off you push and hold it for about two or three seconds and you may get a blink of the lights or something.

They may not all have this feature, all of the ones I've owned have.

i though error 6 was a short in the internal amp.
Try setting the Amp Off setting ...
Hmmm... I've consulted all five of my Clarion manuals ranging from 1997 to 2007 and they all list error 6 as a disc read problem.

Which manual are you looking at?

Shinju, I looked up your manual online and I didn't see an error 10. does it actually say the word "system" when you get the error code? If so you may benefit the most from a reset.

I have done the reset, I'll hook it back up and see what the error is again.

All I know that the entire face is dead or locked out only thing that works is the eject button.

(Sorry Jose) Not trying to thread jack but since the decks are both Clarion and I really didnt see the point of making a new thread to waste bandwith I figured I would just use yours!

Anyway it really isnt a big deal I got it for 10 bucks fully boxed and everything with it.

I might just send it in and have it repaired. But I cannot seem to get anyone on the horn at clarion to get a quote.

DO NOT use a CD lens cleaner!!!!! If the lens isn't bad it will be after the use of a CD lens cleaner disc. Use compressed air from a can for cleaning PC keyboards.

I did the CD lens cleaner thing a 13 years back on my DRX9175 and it fu@ked up the lens. Cost me, at the time -'96, $120.00 to have clarion fix it.
