Clarion Dxz615 Error Code 6

I bought this deck off of a reputable member and finally got around to installing this deck and it gave me the godd4mn error 6

Is there anyway to fix this ???

I think that code means the disc is upside-down, not for certain.

Does it on all discs?

It did it on the burned disc that was left in it and also on a store bought bme click disc

I have a couple different Clarion manuals and they are both telling me error 6 is the disc is upside-down.

It may either be a bad laser or in need of a cleaning.

Maybe there is something inside the mechanism making the laser think this.

I won't say the "S" word since you got it from a reputable member and they should have the benefit of the doubt.

If you're handy you could just take it apart on the kitchen table and see what's up. Clarions are not too bad to disassemble.
