Clarion Cz702 shutting off?

When I turn my system up my deck turns off then turns back on? Only at high volumes. I have a 240 amp alt, extra batt and I tested the deck and the voltage doesn't drop very muc. Stays aabove 12.5

Checkd, and I'm running an amp for my highs with the internal amp turned off. Maybe a weak ground? But if I turn my gain up abd my system gets a hittin it'll turn off. It use to go into protect when I had my stock alt but now I have the voltage and it will turn off for some reason. Only at really high volumes.

Also side question. How would I stop it from skipping when playinga cd? II'm running a fi btl so there a lot of flex

you cant stop the skipping ,thats from the sub hitting

best way to stop skipping is use a thumb drive or ipod.

Was fine at first but then again I couldn't crank it as high as I am now.. Or it would be go into protect. I'm gonna run a ground directly to the battery tomorrow. Hopefully it'll fix it.

My h/u display would turn off and back on at high volumes, but it would continue playing music. It was because of a poor solder joint.

Mine cuts off altogether, then turns right back on. Maybe it is the faceplate? Or on the inside? Idk. Been too lazy to check. Lol.

the only time that mine did that was when it was cold and the car was off... so i dont believe yours is getting sufficient power
