Clarion CX501 vs JVC KW-R910BT (Equal cost). Which one should I go for?

This is for my wife's car (2010 RAV4 Base with Non-JBL sound system).

Right now, the only reason I can think she would prefer the JVC is because you can choose the color of the lighting //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Priorities are:

1. Bluetooth call and streaming audio clarity and stability.

2. Intuitive controls

3. Robust CD-player mechanics (i.e. it won't break after a year or two, which is why I'm looking to buy a new head unit in the first place.)

Clarion changed their BT over to AptX CSR for 2015. That means better sound quality all around, especially with streaming music. That won't help as much if your wife uses an iPhone, but you can check online at Phone Arena - Phone News, Reviews and Specs if your phone supports AptX. You should be looking at Clarion CX505. She can change the color of the lighting on that one.
