clamping?

What does clamp an Amp mean?

I have read the term here a few times but do not know what it means.

I think it has something to do with running 2 of the same amps together on 1 sub but am not sure.

Pretty sure your referring to strapping amps together.

Clamping is where you bench test an amplifier to figure out the true RMS power of an amplifier at a specific ohm load and frequency level. Almost every single clamp test Ive seen doesnt account for clipping by also testing with an oscilloscope.

I believe the term you are referring to is "Strapped" not "Clamp"
