i'm hopefully putting a new system in my car, i was looking at kenwood, kicker, rockford fosgate, etc i was wondering if yall had any ideas of a bad *** system thats around $1000 i mean i want something that makes you cough it hits so hard whats a good speaker 12's or 15's that i could get i was looking at cirwin vega and all the aboave ones as i said i want something that HITS HARD

hey - i have a cerwin vega HED 12" dual voice coilover, i had a smaller budget and was unknowledgable when i bought. what i didnt realize is that i wanted SQ. this sub tho is very loud and hits pretty hard off of my 300 watt amp runing at 2 ohms. I listen to rock and although not responsive as my bros JL 12W0 it still hangs in there. with a bigger budget like yours i would go with RF or a different reputable brand

yeah those subs are pure spl that will rip a new one in most, you gotta remember his price limit though. you talk about DD's expensive don't know prices, stroker's up to like 600, mmats juggy's 500, orion i assume you mean HCCA's expensive don't know price. that's the problem with those subs you only got about 500 or less to spend on the amp and box and wire's and caps and everything else. now yeah 500 could get you a good amp to power them bad *** subs above, but it would still be very expensive. but you can't forget the Kove Armageddon's those things hit HARD.

yup you can always get a L7 . those are best in a big vented enclosure .but what kind of space are you working with .or you can get 2 kicker comp vrs those will turn some heads if there in a seald box they will hit pretty hard . and the alpine type r is gr8 and afordable:)

Did you said the L7 works better in big enclosures??

I have an Extended dakota and i have one 12"L7 and 1 kx 1200.1(1540rms)

I bought this amp and this sub because i want to work with a very small sealed box..

Thats why i bought only 1 sub and 1 very strong amp..

because i can take all that the L7 can give me working with 1 amp and 1 12"sub..

If you want spl you will need a 30 litres sealed box so it can hit very hard at around 60 to 70 hz..

But if you want SQ then you will be in trouble, because the L7 can hit very hard but it requires a very big enclosure to have SQ..Like its even better a ported or vented enclosure..

If you want SPL and small place Buy a L7 and make a 30 litres sealed box,(if you have space make a 60 litres vented)and with a good amp you will have a goos bass..Way better than comp vr's and some brands like mmats to deliver SPL..

Hope what i said maked sense and Thanks Tuca

wait a dang second. your saying an L7 can put out better spl than an mmats. maybe there lower end subwoofer's but you put an L7 next to a Juggy. and the juggy will rip the L7 a new one. those juggy's are some mean spl hitting machine's now there lacking of SQ is rather noticable but if all you want is incredible bang then a Juggy will outbang a L7 anyday.

I have a friend that owns a MMats Sub and is not that strong..

Then i knew he used a bad amp to push it..He uses a PPi unit that i really dont like(it dont hit hard like other amps)..

Then i apologize for saying they were not good ..and now i know they are very Loud and Hard hitting because when i plugged him with mine KX 1200.1 it hitted like hell

Thanks and Sorry Tuca

you think my L7 12"with a kx1200.1 will not hit as hard as a mmats juggy??

hell's yes a juggy will hit harder than an L7. think about it the L7 peak power is 1500 watts. the Juggy rms can handle 1600 watts. you can hook up 2 of the amps you have to a juggy and it will run that all day long. those things are mean SPL machine's, personally i don't like them all that much too much distortion but there awesome for SPL.

just get a 2nd L7. it will hith harder and you don't have to worry about blowing them. you take that 1540 watts to 1 L7 your gonna blow it. you take that 1540 divided by 2 to 2 L7's that get's you 770 per sub running them nicely. that will thump harder then the 1 garunteed. more cone area more SPL proven fact.

adding another sub is impossible because of the space i can use..

Maybe i could change it for a 15"..but will the sealed box be much bigger for the 15"than for the 12"????

What needs bigger sealed box,,L7 or Juggy??

Thanks again Tuca

put it this way. juggy's used to have the world record for single subwoofer DB level at 167 i believe. it was beaten by the DD 9515 i believe not totally sure on that and it did something like 171. the juggy is one serious SPL machine and will outhit a stroker. and i believe they are designed for a good sized sealed enclosure not sure. go to http://www.mmatsaudio.com
