Circuit City Quoted me $60.. should I try myself?

Tips so I dont mess anything up?
Ground is the first to come off, and last to put on...
Disconnect your negative battery terminal from the very beginning, don't hook up your power wire until you are certain there is a fuse in the fuse holder and the opposite end of the wire isn't laying on bare metal, preferably hooked to the amp...

Then FINALLY hook up the negative terminal...Can't count the times I have heard/seen people shock themselves or ruin equipment...

So before I start take the black wire off the battery.

Mount amp, speakers and box.

Hook Speakers up to amp.

Hook amp up to head unit.

Run the power wire through my center consol or somewhere and then hook it up to a fuse, then hook it to my battery.

Done?

EDIT: is there a picture tutorial somewhere?

ya just take your time like everyones else. i did it by myself for the first time it wasn't hard just took my time and checked over everything 2 to 3 times to make sure i had it right.

usually its easier to take off the inside pannels alongside your door. If you have more time, g under thecarpet if your using a larger gauge wire that might have a hard time fitting anywhere else. What kind of car??

All my stuff is in the mail on its way, ill keep you all updated with pics when I am done. I just want to get a heads up of what is going on before I get started.

well how are u going to put the power wire from the amplifier ( inside the car, well hopefully lol!) to the battery in the hood?
wtf? are you serious....

its fine to run them all on one side too if its easier for you, which it is for most, your RCA's carry an AC signal, power wires carry a DC signal. there should be no issue as long as your wire has some sort of decent shielding
it's not the best idea..... but can be done..
