Like it says circuit city said 60 dollars for the install of my amps and subs which is 20-30 less than best buy.

I would like to try to wire the whole thing myself I am just scared I might mess something up.

I have no experience doing it myself but how hard can it be.

Do you suggest I just have them do it or would i be better off doing it myself? I have plenty of time..

I suggest doing it yourself or have a friend that knows do it....

But if you are scared of messing something up I would suggest bringing it to a profession installer..

The whole wiring process is pretty easy if your or someone knows what there doing..

I pretty much got my first system done from circuit city but after that i just started installing it myself and with my friends

save money and do it urself.. unless you really have no idea what you are doing...

run power wire down the battery side of the car, fused no more the 1 ft away from the batt... threw the firewall, not the door jam!! then rca's down the opposite side of the car ( opposite of batt wire)

then make a good ground. hook up amp, hook up sub's to amp.. install the right size fuse. set gains and bump!!!

its fine to run them all on one side too if its easier for you, which it is for most, your RCA's carry an AC signal, power wires carry a DC signal. there should be no issue as long as your wire has some sort of decent shielding

I agree on doing it yourself, and if you can get a friend who has some experience doing it to help....thats what I did thanks to Dre
Well, having Dre there would certainly be ideal!

But short of that, I would suggest taking it slow, make sure you understand what you are doing - but do it yourself. Otherwise you will likely go back in the vehicle a year or so (after you are no longer so timid) and be surprised when you see what a shitty job the "pro" did.
