ya only if ppl knew that walmart had a sister company making there name brands like sony and others for tvs. they're not the same products at cc and bb and reason for cheaper prices. but ppl only read price not where its being made and by who

Are you trying to say that Walmart has a sister company that makes TV's and then brands them as Sony, Samsung and ect..? That is rediculous, how do you think they could get away with that without the big electronic companies sueing them?

The companies themselves DO have lower quality units, to meet pricepoints.

Products are either made to meet a quality standard OR a pricepoint standard. And 99% of Walmarts are a pricepoint, aka CHEAP.

So therefore, they are made cheaply.

Alright, NG cleared it up for us.

Wal-mart offers lower end stuff, but it's not as if the quality some brands have is diminished by being sold at Wal-Mart. It's a shame that so little people research electronics and do a little bargain hunting...without being a cheap ***.

x2 people come in and get pissed when i wont price match walmarts products when they arent the same model number. All the time I hear its the same thing and i have to explain in short what ng just said. grrr at stupid people.

Yes but Walmart does offer some of the same models that CC and BB offer, if not in the store but online in most cases. You will not find all the same model numbers of each item at any of the big electronic retailers. That is how one can have a better price on a LCD 27in TV than the others. Ten out of the 11 part numbers may match but the last letter might be a B instead of an A. It is useless to all sell the exactl same product. I honestly don't think people think they are getting the same quality. It's just that they may not all need the all the options that a certain model may have over another.

To me, CC has always had a bad rap. I consider them dirty, more like a warehouse type store compaired to BB. Best Buy seems more modern, cleaner and CC's sales people do not seem to be as knowledgable as BB's. This all could be regional though.

Walmart also sells refurbs at just under the retail of a new one, people dont notice this and thinks its a bargain. Most of the time the last digit in the pn is an R. Heck half the time they dont even advertise it as being refurb, but if you look at the pn you can tell.

I have to say that most people who are big Wal-Mart shoppers probably don't realize that stuff there is lower quality. Have you ever gone to Wal-Mart and just walked around and watched the people? They aren't the tip top of society...
