Circuit City Install

im a noob so i took my stuff to circuit city to get installed.I had two memphis 10"s and a sony 800 watt amp. I dont know the model number but i got the stuff for free so i took it.But my question is they put a 350 watt wire from the battery to the amp and i was wondering if that affects the amp.If only 350 watts of pwoer is getting to the amp.I hope you guys know what im asking.I know it was a 350 wattage wire cause i said 350 watts on the packaging.thx

tell us what gauge wire it is... the rating is probably peak and means nothing. Your sony amp doesn't do anywhere near 800 watts... give us model numbers of your amp and subs please...

What guage does it say? 0/1g, 8g or 4g?

it was prolly the wiring kit that suggested for use up to or around 350 watts, im guessing like 10awg power and ground

ill check it out when i get home and post back.But im pretty sure it doesnt push 800 watts but it says 800 watts on the top of the amp.I'm looking for model number on internet right now.

Back when I used to run a pair of eXcelon SVC 10s I used a 4-channel USacoustics amp bridged to 2 channels on them. (this being before I bought the X401M monoblock I currently have for sale)

It's not unheard of....

Well seeing u just joined.... i'd say stick around a bit.... and read up on some info. This will allow u to atleast gain a better understanding ot CA and ans many questions u have now and will have.

what kinda budget do you have, do you want to buy new or used and do you want to buy online or at a local retail store.

i'd actually rather buy used cause you can always find better deals.but i would buy online if i found a good deal and a good sub.Somewhere around the 500 range.Its a 4 ohms.whic is better 2 or 4?and explain why its better
