I smoke the occasional Camel Light every now and then when I'm drinking or getting off work. So a tax increase wont effect me that much. In fact, an increase in cigarette tax is fine with me.

how much are they where you are? like a little over a year when Granholm implimented the "Sin Tax" our cigarettes went up like 1.79 overnight. they're at $5.00 even for a pack of marlboro. and that's the cheapest i can find them.
but i just got a coupon in the mail from camel for $30 off a carton, so i'm happy about that.

If I were to get a coupon for $30 off a carton then Circle K would be paying ME to get a carton of smokes (that'd be sweet......and I assume your post is a typo and you meant $3.00?)

Thats why long ago I switched to off brands. I buy USA Golds here in MD and WV. About $3.25 for a pack, vs $4.25+ for a pack of Camels or Marlboros. If you drive across the border to WV, you can get USA's for about $3.10 a pack! No way in hell will I spend $5.00 for some shitty Marlboros!
I quite frankly can't stand the taste of Marlboro Lights (taste like chemicals). USA Golds are much better tasting in my opinion, and less expensive.

My, my, my......glad I don't live there! Here, at Circle K stores, if you buy two packs at a time Camels go for $5.95/2 packs including tax or just a hair under $3/each.
