i cant stand it either. drives me up the wall. thank god i live in cali where you cant really smoke many places anymore, not even in bars. makes life that much better. i understand that we live in a country that honors liberty and freedom, but i feel that there should be a law that you can smoke in public as long as you respect others by not doing it around them and not disturbing them, upsetting them, etc... if you are asked to go elsewhere you must or put it out. i feel that it is just respect for those who choose not to be around smoke, dont want to breathe it, dont want to smell like it, and so on.

i hate the smell of perfume and cologne. they should outlaw that in public too.

i agree with your idea of if asked to put it out or move you should, but if nobody says anything then what's the problem? and if they're 'just not the kind of person to say something' then it obviously doesn't bother them that much

if it doesnt bother anyone than you dont have to do anything about it. if it does then i feel that the law should protect to rights of those who are offended by the smoker.

ok they should outlaw strobe lights then. it could trigger a seizure. oh but that's different, becuase they WARN you that the building has strobe lights in it. well why can't there just be a warning on the building that says "caution, tobacco smoking is allowed, all of those with respitory illness' should consider that when entering"

all i'm saying is that smokers are picked on unfairly. it's one thing to say that you don't appreciate it, or you don't like it, but to say it should be outlawed just because it CAN be unhealthy for other people is disrespectul to US when you're saying we're the ones being disrespectful. funny how that works out.

its a small price to pay to live in the great country that we do. you know, i hear some of the middle eastern countries have some great discounts on fuel and cigs, why dont some of you move over there. how about you lame ***** think about what a great life you have here in america, and maybe, just maybe you wouldnt ***** so much. some people take so much for granted.
