Cigarette lighter Voltmeter

I have this same one and I clipped the little ears off and took out my cig lighter and it slid right in then I filled the extra space with some filler and it looks pretty good and reads perfectly to my dmm I used the power on for my HU to run it.

Not bad. They are so tiny they will fit anywhere and look good. I would put the remote wire to the ignition so you can see what your battery rests at before/after a drive or playing. That's what I did.

Thinking of putting another one in the back on the amp rack for when I am changing settings, giving demos, etc.

Could you show me a meter not made in china?

$49.99 Really, I can buy 20 of those $2.47 from China and have lifetime supply for me and 4 other people for that price.
Prob gonna need em..lol They may last a yr/six months/two weeks, hell, who Knows??At least this one is made here at home and has a lifetime warranty,..So knock yourself out there man..Each to theyre own..I buy USA made as much as possible to help keep funds rolling in the states. You get what you pay for 9/10

i have a cheap stinger one that connected in the amp terminals and is mounted on center console arm rest, where i can keep a eye on what the amp is eating while playing.... having at the front batt will have a diff voltage in the back

you really believe the components are made in USA?

even the US flag is made in China, we had to make a law to stop this.

I have a Chinese made voltmeter for over 2 yrs and still working.

Everyone who has bought one for $3 and has used it knows. The answer is: just as long as the chinese made stinger volt meters that use the same internal parts, but have a HUGE outer casing with the stinger logo. It's not a stinger volt meter. It's the same volt meter you get for $3 with a huge frame and logo attached.

Not knowing about these $3 meters is fine. But knowing about them, not shelling out about as much change that is probably sitting in a desk or in between your seats on one of them to try it out is just foolish.

I realize most people are a rep for certain companies on car audio forums and likely sell the product themselves.

That would be fine if the stinger ones had an accuracy rating or response time listed. But they don't, and the $3 ones DO. If you had the same meter, except one was stinger brand with no specs, and one showed the specs but no brand logo, which would you choose? Keep in mind the stinger meter could have 500ms -1s response time and be 90% accurate while the non brand meter is 200ms and 99.9% accurate.

For $50 you can buy 10 of the bigger chinese ones with the case, sell each for $10-$20 on CL or to friends and make a huge profit. And then watch them install them cleanly without some lame *** huge casing with a "STINGER" logo written on it.

Are you saying there will be a different voltage if the meter is on the battery in the front vs the amp in the back? How big are your power wires going to the meter? I bought some 16awg copper power wire for the neg and pos runs. And they are the ones with the less strands but the strands are bigger. I get the same reading from my fluke meter.

I have a stinger plug in voltmeter, as others have said its fairly accurate. Because I have a weak electrical I needed something temporary so I'd know when I needed to back off. It being off by about .2 / .3 sounds right from what I've noticed.
