Ups just brought it to me!!! Brand new hcca5000! Looks like my12" cvx's is gonna be in for some serious pain!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif But serious now will be hooking it up this weekend, and my question is will kicker cvx's handle this beast at .5 or should I run it at 2 ohms? Will be in my 06' Corolla 4.4 cub vented enclosure. Kicker rates these at 750 rms each, but I was told they could really quite abit more! Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated (and if told to run at .5 maybe goodluck as well)!!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Be smart...wire it to 2ohms.

Buy another hcca5000 and put one on each. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif :up2somet: //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif :up2somet:

Or, have the power on hand for when you upgrade subs!

2 hcca 5000's don't think my electrical could handle that just yet,(have yellow top under hood and 200 amp ho alt. was largest i could find online that fit the ride!) The cvx' are new guess I could try the warranty ont them from the local shop I got them from! When i picked them up I was asking him about their power and he said that had run the on 1250 sx's a piece and did just fine and I person run a pair of them on a 2500xz for a while, but them he went to solox's but the guy said he never blew them!! When the owner of the shop asked me what i was gonna run them on i told him a hcca 5000 and he grinned and said it would be very interesting, but he did say to set gains carefullf with ZERO clipping or I would be sorry!!

how do you think the 20.1 stacks up to this amp? I either want 2 20.1's, 2 d5000's (or 2500Ds), or one Digital Designs Z1...

Cant go wrong with either of those......

Good luck finding someone whos done a side by side comparison though.

If you want a 5000d, PM me.

So hold on your going to hook just 2 12 in CVX's up to a hcca5000 @ .5 ohm?? IMO that would be overkill, because at .5 ohm you can expect like 3000 watts.........................

why not run them at .5?? Thats why I was aking the question to see if they could handle them! hooked them up last night and ran them at 2 ohms, boy oh boy is it loud!! enclosure is tuned to 36 hz ant those cvx's are really loud. I am impressed with them so far and they seem to be handling the power just fine! (may try a different enclosure that is tunes to around 30 or 32 hz. though!!
