keep the 20.1; so much more potential with it (lower impedance)

and, u still have that alarm i sold you??

Nope, dont have the alarm.

As far as lower impedance, not sure on when I would ever need to go below .5

I vote 20.1 just because the amps have been proven to be bulletproof and the company is in my home state. Gotta love the Bama fellas. You will receive top notch customer service from the incriminator guys.

I dont know what to look for to say "thats gonna be a better amp". Anyone that does, feel free to chime in!

CS is definitely a factor........I had to fight with directed for quite a while to get my freaking amp from them.

PERSONALLY id keep the IA for it's rarenes factor and it's undying respect on the forums for being made top notch...and the great customer service....

dont get me wrong both are EXCELLENT amps....im just more partial to smaller internet companies with high end gear......but essentially it coms down to which sounds better //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

fortunitly for you, you can swap them and see which sounds better for your specific application......MANY MANY MANY of us have to make a choice without hearing them head to head like that....ur lucky to have to option

Going with the 20.1 for the following reasons:

1. both will do roughly the same power

2. the IA will run at whatever impedance with NO issues

3. I would trust the customer service of IA more than Directed

4. the IA has a 1/0 terminal, no need to screw with all that 4 gauge

Yep.
I think I might look into getting one 20.1 to play with for right now, if I like it, get another, or sell it and get a Z1. I am pretty sure 2 20.1's strapped will do more power though.

Plus I dont think the z1 can run as low as the 20.1 daily... Plus LOOK @ THE GUTS OF THAT 20.1 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

i DEFINATLY would NOT want to deal with anything to do with DIRECTED - just in case the amp died.

HCCA most likely wont like sub-1ohm.

HCCA most likely wont like over 14v

HCCA breaks, you deal with DEI

HCCA has 2 sets of power\ground

HCCA only has 4 guage inputs

HCCA is ugly

i would choose the 20.1 for the reasons listed above

I dont think its ugly, it looks **** nice to me.........but yeah, I dont trust the orion under 1, voltage isnt an issue to me, DEI can screw themselves, I dont like the dual power/grounds.

So 20.1 it is.
