A radio just showed up (Amazon, old car, cheap radio - sorry) - the booklet calls it a "CAR MP5 PLAYER" Device came with a backup camera.
Here's what I have discerned from myriad videos and sites. If you see something wrong please let me know. Note, colours seem to vary highly with different harnesses/radios. I've included them here even though in many other products the colours are different.
A1 (pink) Parking Break Control +12V: Run a wire from the parking break sensor so that what ever wire has zero volts when its down and is charged when its up is spliced into. Some features will note work if you do not attached or try to bypass
A2 (orange) Parking single check: As near as I can tell, and because there isn't an alternate place to put this wire, this is where you connect the lose lead from the backup camera wire. Off the camera RCA lead there is a single red wire. It is likely powered when the reverse lights come on when wired correctly.
A3 (brown) KEY: On some devices this is called KEY1 or KEY2 - it looks like this would be wired to a MUTE button on the steering wheel control if you have one. I don't have one in this car so I'm leaving it unconnected.
A4 (yellow) B+: This one is very clear. Its a thicker wire and will bring in the constant 12V power.
A5 (blue) Power Antenna/Amplifier: Pretty clear cut (and actually a common colour) - this will deliver 12V power to accessory related devices when turned on.
A6 (green) Head Lamp: Again, probably poor translation. Maybe the presumption is that the head lamp is only on at night. This should be the illumination wire and will be responsible for dimming the controls at night. My confusion with this one is that my existing radio harness has an ILLUMINATION +ve and a separate ILLUMINATION -ve. It could be that Illumination + and Illumination - mean power to + makes it brighter and power to - makes it dimmer. I'll have to play with this one.
A7 (red) ACC: Very clear that it connects to the accessory power that exists on pretty much all radios/devices.
A8 (black) GND: Also very clear that it connects to the ground. Its also usually a thicker gauge wire.
The second harness is self-explanatory (Front/Rear - Left/Right - +ve/-ve) for all the speaker connections (B1-B8).
I saw a few older posts asking about these wires so I will share this as "wisdom" for now. If nothing blows up or smokes later when I install it then I won't be back to comment.
Cheers
