Chime in on EA alts

btw mean green includes a 1 year warranty, and each alt has a claimed life expectancy of 300k miles.

i was talking to mean green about it, and they basically told me that they will fix it the first time for free regardless of whether there is warranty left on the product or not. could of been blowing smoke up my ***, but thats what they told me.

Unfortunately they don't have my vehicle listed. Something funky about f150's after 2001. Ohio Gen told me ford was dumb and changed the regulator parts on their alts 11 times in the past 6 years //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif

not sure if this is it, but this is for the 4.6L engine up to 2003.

your best bet is to call and make sure its the right engine. they should be able to hook you up for sure.

edit: lol oh **** didnt see it was an 07 lol. i would call them

+1 for excessive amperage. great price, and nate was very professional when i talked to him on the phone a couple times. Kept me up to date as to when it was ready to be shipped, and when it was shipped. I was worried about fitment of my alternator on my car, but it fit perfectly and haven't had a problem since I installed it. Will be one year in mid-november.

I might as well chime in since I have more time.

I owned a Mean Green Alternator on my first vehicle and It was a great product. Customer Service was top notch and I had the Alt that I ordered Direct from them in 3 days.

For my new vehicle they did not make one so I went with Iraggi. Unfortuneately, it doesn't charge at Idle, and won't charge higher than 12.9 under a load. I am going to ship it to Nate at Excessive to rebuild it since Dom won't ever respond to any of my Emails.

same shit with motor city reman. they dont charge at idle because they kick on way to late. i mean they charge, but again not higher than about 12.8 or so on my buddies explorer. luckily they offered a refund for him which is how he picked up the mean green.

he already had the smallest pulley from them as well, and the **** thing was better, but still wouldnt do what it was called upon to do.

I've been running an EA for a little over a year. Nate was very professional via email and over the phone. Got it during a group buy on ROE, so price was very good and no problems to speak of. I'll be purchasing from EA again in the future...

My EA alt sucked. got 2 different ones and none charged at idle in my car. give it any gas any it picked right up but none charged period. called dom he sent me one out bam worked first time outta the box. Dom also offers a LIFETIME warranty for a little extra money. that includes exchange. If you buy a new car he will trade you an alt of equal or lesser value straight up for your old one. If the new one is more expensive you pay just the difference. I dunno what you guys are doing to not get an answer via email from dom. I get an answer within 24 hrs of sending it. i have also spoke with him on the phone several times about trading in for my latest spl project.

I had an iraggi alt on my s10 and it was great, I'm just a little concerned after seeing all the lack of contact over at his forum on meade's site. That doesn't give a warm fuzzy at all.

i had an ea on my ***** am and had the same problem with the low idle voltage. it was pretty bad, sitting at 600 rpm it would only put out about 11v. would hit 14ish by 8 or 900 rpm though, i ended up just changing my idle rpm so it always idled that high, which was obviously not the way i wanted to go about things.

went with an iraggi for my 98 explorer, and it's awesome. drops to about 13.6 at idle (600 rpm) soon as you give it any gas its 14.4. i get no dimming at all with 3000 watts rms going full tilt while driving, and just the slightest bit at idle, it never drops under 13v even at idle. plus dom's customer service (in my case anyway, can't speak for everyone) has been phenominal. great guy.

well got ahold of mean green and they have a 200amper for my truck for 369, Dom replied and can do one for 399. My last iraggi alt was great but with all the feedback so far I think I'm going to have to go with mean green, see like good people and good product //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
