Chevette Noise Violation

Yesterday evening I was rollin in my 'vette and some people asked for me to demonstrate. So I drive around to the back parking lot and go ahead and put it up to about 3/4ths. as I was leaning down to mess with the radio the copper comes up and gets all excited. Got off with a warning because whoever was at the station called him a douche, but anyway, I think this is the first noise ordinance violation with a chevette. Dude said "I could feel you from the road". I wanted to tell him that only my girlfriend says that. Just pisses me off because the guy knows who I am, knows I keep my stereo down in town. I try to do a 30 second demo and he is all over me.

sounds like he did the right thing...... in my town only the car/trucks get OV tickets for stereos...but what about the trucks, old cars with loud pipes and stupid harleys..???!!! bunch of bs!! if it makes noise, there should be a ticket issued... period

the only OV i ever got was in my dodge dakota with a single 10" infinity reference probably the littlest system i have ever owned and still the only time i have ever been pulled over

Exactly. People come through with their bikes or driving a semi and jake braking through town. I have to stop my conversation because its so loud. I can promise you that as much as I would like for it to be, it is not that loud. I would be one thing if I were passing through the town and driving slow to blast people out of their minds but thats not the case. I always turn it down coming in and leaving. He wanted to give me a 350 dollar ticket but the guy on the radio told him to let it go.

I had to tighten up the mirrors the other day. Was just a Vent/Rant/Brag. Mostly I think its funny that I got busted for being loud in a Chevette.

Chevette noise violation...reminds me of my old SBC 350 Chevette. Its too bad that the new owner put huge wheels and a ton of speakers in it...
