chest hurting bass....

i dont know.. get my memphis m-class 12's (in my leaky *** sealed box) with my amp, and when the bass hits on some system of a down, or some 311, or even rap, itll punch you pretty goood... in a coupe, not hatch also!

is this gonan come from high tuned ported boxes??? also wat will i get from sealed box's of varies sizes for a sub setup, wat sq, spl, and freq range...
You will have a better chance with a higher tuned setup all things being equal. You will get some of this from the midbass but hard to breathe chest pounding will not come from 6.5 inch speakers even in the best of setups.

I dont think ive ever heard a ported box tuned in the 50's or 60's but I have 2 pioneers ts-w306's (sealed) in a camaro and yes, they will pound on u pretty good. To me ported isnt as loud to the ear because ive listened to 2 12" type r's ported @ 38hz (being fed 400rms a piece) and i was fine but when i turn up my pioneers (450rms each) they will hurt you. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif

But i did prefer the sound of the ported enclosure over sealed but i cant really make a box big enough that fits my car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

So any of u box builders out there that think u can make a box big enough to port 2 12"s in a 2000 camaro that will fit down in the rear well (trunk) plz let me know. :)
