are you talking about when you feel bass from your chest? if so you get the chest pumping from the midbass, not the sub bass.

really cuz i was in my friends car a while back, when i didnt know shit about audio and my chest hurt..... maybe he had subs that hit the highs abover average??? or i was just a newb.

Also i know ported is louder that sealed obviously and from experience, but say i had like 2 12's sealed vs 1 12 ported??? im thinking the 12's would hit harder

people say sealed SOUNDS louder to the ear and ported is louder on the MIC. i dont know though never did side-by-side comparisons.

No. This comes from high SPL levels. And a weak respritory system.

Sealed is better suited for SQ. It will have a smoother frequency range over a ported box. Capable of playing lower. But SPL will be effected. Sealed is a lot quieter than ported.

For most drivers, the larger the box the more efficient the driver is. Also it will have more low end extension.

For a smaller sealed box, power handling is increased. There will be less low end and more of a "punchy" sound.

It's pry not just me, but sub bass doesn't chest pump me, it rumbles my whole d3mn car.
