checking ohms

im trying to check the ohms my subwoofers are wired at without having to take them out. i just got a multimeter and stuck the negative and positive prongs in the corresponding place for the speaker wires. it reads .250. does that mean i have a 2 ohm final load?

just hook the dmm up to the speaker wires coming out of the sub box to see the final ohm load. probing the amp will tell you the voltage the amp is putting out.

yeah i did that, its showing .250

well i'm assuming it's gonna be around 1 ohm after imp rise then. as speaker wire takes away from truly telling without directly probing the vc's terminals.

could you actually probe the terminal cup's terminals directly and get a lil better reading there?

it'll probly be between ~.5-1 ohm or a lil over after imp rise.
