Ok actually not to much as of yet.

Lets do with the pictures first.

I did the measurements and the internal volume is 1.8cuft. (9"wide and 49"high). It is approximately 1/4"ish thick.

Give me some ideas. I guess only 8"s would work due to the diameter. I was thinking of using it in a home audio application. Unless I cut it some because it will not fit in my trunk, my trunk can fit something that is about 38" wide. With its given thickness will it flex as much under pressure?

Feed me some ideas, and I will build it!

Make a state-of-the-art bass transmitter! Force that thing into your port and have the other end go through your back-seats and right next to your head so you get MEGA-POUNDING-EAR-DEAFENING-BASSSS!!!!

So if I were to go with a 10incher how would I seal it? I was thinking of 8 so then I can make a ring. What I think would be cool is to do a sub on each end and a port in the middle of it. But for 10s I think they need a little more airspace than that.

8's would work fine. you're gonna over complicate this thing and mess it up. just put a sub on either end and leave it sealed.

complication is the name of the game!! LOL

looks like a port that is 3" in diameter and 12" long will tune to 28hz...? Port it in the middle of the cylinder...

if i were to port it, i would do 1 sub and port the other end. it would look better. imo

Clear Sonotubes have been done many times in home theater. I've seen an 18" TC done that way. I shudder to imagine the cost of a clear acrylic cylinder of that diameter. Even the small stuff is high $$$

I actually acquired it many years ago from my work they were throwing it out and I asked if I can have it and now its in my possession. The only thing is that the tube is dirty, I cannot clean it. So its not perfectly clear. That's why I wouldn't want to use it in my car.

What would be cool is to stick an Rl8i in there! Or some beefy looking 8incher. We'll see what I can come across.
