I think you guys should READ what I wrote instead of skimming through it. I said the box would sound like crap IN THE STORE!. Actually, you can underpower a sub buy matching it with a lower rms rated amp. when you crank it up, you start to send higher voltage but lower amps. Instead if the VC moving up and down, it starts to move side ways. When you lower the volume , you lower the voltage going to the sub also.
