cheapest place to get big alt for 98 blazer

My buddy just bought a 18" solo x.....so hes gonna need lots of juice to power an amp. Hes prolly gonna get about a 3000-4500 watt amp. What size alt should he get? He doesn't want to spend a whole lot of money since the amp on top of what he already paid for the sub was pretty high.

200 amp alt be big enough? Where is the cheapest place to get one?

Also would just getting an upgrade alt be good enough to power such a big amp or does he need to get a kinetic battery for the back as well?

iraggi. ive heard motor city reman (think thats what its called) is fairly priced too. keep in mind that iraggi's alts dont put out rated amperage at idle, whereas companies like EA, ohio generator, HO-alts, mean green, etc DO do the rated amperage at idle. depending on your application, idle amperage will vary between different makes and models. if you look at his ebay store and search for your application, he has @ idle and @ 2500rpm ratings.

not true- i know for a fact that ea's alts for sure- do not put out 300amps at idle...
