knu konceptz makes real good wire you can get the regular stuff not the flexible stuff 1/0 awg for 1.79 a foot i think i just got some last week works really well its actually a little oversized almost 2/0 and the bigger the wire the more amps and current can run through it if that helps any

There's no way I can tell you whether or not you actually need 1/0 awg wiring, because I don't know a thing about your amp, alternator or battery...

checkout shok industries they make some nice wire only downfall is you have to buy a full spool but more the better.

Do twin runs, power and ground. Much, much better than grounding in the rear.

Most of the bargain brand cable out there marketed for audio is either NOT true guage or NOT copper. Not saying it's bad, but if you buy good cable you can always pull it when you sell the car and use it forever.

Running cable back to the - terminal of the battery is silly. The car chasis is a huge block of steel and very probably less resistance than 15 feet of 1/2" of copper.

Steel is a worse conductor than copper to begin with, add in the unpredictable pathway that the chassis creates with spot welds galore through a painted, primered, and rusted body panels, and that's better than 1/0 of copper from battery terminal to battery terminal? Not to mention the likely possibility of the sheet metal to be an alloy or galvanized from the factory. Excluding the battery terminal connections, a 1/0 piece of wire is a straight shot and you know 100% of its capabilities. The chassis could easily have 6 or more connections between the batteries.
