as you can see in the sig that i have 05 alpine type r running off of appr. 600w rms. Well, after looking online and local shops, the prices on wiring kits are outrageous.

What i need is 4 guage (correct me if i wrong) amp installation kit and all the other basic wires (speaker, ground, power, etc.).

What are some cheap dependable brands of wiring besides the ones you can get at welding shops and what not?? Does it really matter if i get a cheapo brand like AUDIOPIPE compared to a more expensive/popular brand like STINGER??

Would it effect the amount of power my amp will be receiving?

Any suggestion, i dont want to spend money in unneeded areas of my setup! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Nice Zimmer, u got ur type R in a box. you build it ur self? and how do u like it? But to stay on topic. It doesnt really matter what wire you get. Just dont get fooled by people selling there wire in a very thick sleeve, Like it says 4 gauge and u think its the size of 4 gauge but the wire is only 5 or 6 gauge, they just have extra rubber stuff around it.

*edit*

Im gonna be getting my wire / wire accesories from KnuKonceptz for my next project. It has pretty cheap prices and you can get almost everything you need, except there out of AGU fuse holders right now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

*edit x2*

I use some cheapo 7 dollar walmart scoshce RCA, i have 0 distortion, really good sq and I dont think getting a higher grade RCA would help anything, for me anyways.

So, go to a welding shop. If you really care that much about a brand, just write "monster cable" on it, and youll instantly get double the current, so that means youll be louder!!!!!!!!

Man, wire is wire. You want cheap wire, go to a welding shop. Im sure if people can use it for thousands of watts, youll be fine with >1k.
