Cheap high power mono amps?

no...not in that aspect. At 1ohm it is more of a strain on your electrical system, it does tend to get a lil warmer, and there is more distortion but really not enough to make a difference...

someone correct me if i am wrong

Please correct me if I'm wrong just cause I've been under this impression for a long time. But at 1 ohm doesn't an amp produce more heat than efficiant power?
well as far as i no if the amp is 1ohms stable there shouldn't be any problems. its built to be wired that way so it shouldnt get to hot but it should produce efficient power.
