Cheap Amp selection + REM question

Two questions:

1) I currently run a super cheap 10" dual amp + sub at 100W RMS and it works perfect for me (I know tons of people love to throw shit loads of RMS...but I just need enough to take the bass off the main speakers)...

So for my new car, I'd like to do a similar setup so...Let's say my budget for the amp is $140. I can get a JBL GT5-A3001 300W Amp with the following stats

Amplifier Type Class ABRMS Power @ 1Ohm 300W

RMS Power @ 4Ohms 175W

RMS Power @ 2Ohms 225W

Peak Power 450W

Crossover (12dB/Oct., 20 – 320Hz; Sub): LP

Dimensions (H x W x D) 305 x 235 x 54mm

for $140. Is there a better amp for similar or cheaper price? Like I said, I don't need anything crazy so anything above 100W RMS and below 300W RMS will be perfect for me.

I was thinking about it with this sub:

for $56.65

What could this sub handle? Could it run at 1ohm or would it have to run at 2/4ohm? I'm not too savvy on the ohm stuff yet.

Any other suggestions for cheaper prices? Total for them both would be like $180 inc tax + shipping.

2) Can I attach the REM or remote cable to the same place I have my headunit ignition wire attached to (the cig lighter) or could this cause any problems?
