charging three batteries

Well right now I have two xs d3100's and my stock battery with a mechman 270 amp alt. The question is can I leave the stock battery, hook that up to the alternator, and then take and wire the 2 d3100's independently. SO instead of wiring all three in series what I am wanting to do is to keep the stock battery seperated from the d3100's, and then of course wire the d3100's in series?

You're wanting to wire the d 3100's in series? Why would you do that? What amp do you own that runs on 24v? What alt is going to charge them at 24v?

The batteries won't charge themselves so if you are burping at 24v you will be good for a single burp and then you'll need to recharge them.

Any way you wire up the three batteries, they will be paralleled eventually, unless you have a separate alternator charging JUST the D3100s. You can use an isolator, but I'd just parallel all three of them and let it smash.
