changing my mind about my XXX comps. help

Ok so I might not get the XXX comps. I'm just not so sure what I want to get. I havent shopped for speakers in so long im lost. Budget is about 300.00 - I want something with clean sound, and pretty good midbass. My tweeter holes are already cut from my last install. They were 1" tweeters. I see they have some rainbow products on woofers now... How do those do? Post up some suggestions or links to the products YOU would buy for 300.00 (thats without shipping)

talk to one of the reps here before you deal with woofersect for rainbows.. such as 3.5Max6spd.. i've delt with him personally
