Change in tunning

Alright im about to start a project to go in my friends civic, its a 4 cubes @33 with 72^2 in of port in the middle. My question is that im going to flar the port by kerfing it, both the outside and inside bend. im wondering how this will effect the tunning or if it will at all.

You measure the port length starting at 1/2 the length of the flare. Meaning if you end up with a 1" flare on each end, you start/end your measurement 1/2" in from each end. There's a diagram online somewhere, but I can't find it at the moment.

You would basically add 1" to your total port length to account for the flared ends.

just out of courisity, what is the shape of the box? 37.5" long is awefully long to put in the middle of the box...
