Cerwin Vega vs. Audiobahn

Im talkin particularly about the Cerwin Vega V-max 12" versus an Audiobahn aw1200q High Excursion. Which one would sound better ported. I really want some nice rattling bass.

rattling is never good, and i have a aw1200q sub, there alrigth but not the best, who ever has had experience with the Cerwins please post, but the audiobahns are ok , they cant take that much power ya know?, he had 2 of the audiobahns and one blew with just having like 700 watts to it....

id say cerwin vega, makes good subs from what ive heard, audiobahn does have decent quality when you get up higher into prices....

out of the 2 i believe for price there going to be the same bang for the buck....

so you wont really go wrong on either one for the money your looking to spend...

You're talking about sq and then saying you perfer bandpass....no.

As far as the choice at hand, I'm not a big fan of audiobahn subs but to be fair I've never heard the vmax. There is a few threads about it here every couple months and nobody ever has anything to say because they've never used them. I say give the vegas a shot, it's going to be hard to be worse than audiobahns in sq in most applications and from the specs it looks like the vmax should be plently loud.

I am an audiobahn junkie, but i will never vouch for the 00 series audiobahn subs. Like the other guy said you don't start to get good audiobahns until you start shedding out some cash and even then there is bettar stuff out there. id say give the vegas a shot

audiobahn" but go for the 1205Q or the 1208T or the XT12 LINEAR Compression the lower end models if short on cash like the 1200q are good but higher end in sloted boxes are better

As far as ported sound goes, get the cerwin vega. If you want true SQ put the audiobahn in a sealed box. Paper will always result in more accurate reproductio than plastic, hence most pro audio speakers being made of paper. If all you want is to shake your neighbors windows, then go with the cerwin vega ported. It will last longer in that application.

CV makes a decent product at a decent price.. They really arent designed to beat you to death but they do have some kick to them.. The SQ is good though not quite to IDQ standards, and infinitely better than any bahn subs i have heard..if you want boom then Audiobahn will do, if you want a bit of both then use Vega.

And yes i have an audiobahn sub to comare it to..It belongs to my wife and she likes it.. She wont let me get rid of it for something better. oh well more money for my car.
