i'm thinking about getting a cerwin vega hed 15" sub to put in the back of my thunderbird with two 12" memphis power references. i'm going to push the 15" with a 300 watt xplod amp. tell me what you all think about cerwin vega hed series subs.

thanks a lot

any thoughts are appreciated

i had 2 HED 12s a while back hooked up to a 600watt amp. they hve a reall good SQ .. well the bass is soooo low and crystal clear. it didnt hold a lot of wattage though :-\

id love these if they held more wattage, the IT series had more of a punchy feel, higher SPL but lower SQ IMO. the HED is a great sub but im not sure how much bass you already have.

the onyl complaint i had was that the centercap rattled

Ummm duribility wise from my experience THEY ****. My friend had a single 10 running off a us acoustics 150 wt amp had to return to the store he bought it from 10 times until he just gave it away. Gains and all were set properly all bass boosts were off and still the tinsel leads kept snapping. IMO I would never trust an HED especially since he had his for 2 weeks (this was on the tenth replacement) and the leads snapped again.

Hope the input helps.

Steve
