yessir,.. it was a rather well devised experiment by juancolchado, sound_around (coma_toast), and myself to prove exactly how the mods operate here with a bias to those who have the cash to pad their pockets, or the clout to reciprocate a favor or two, or three, or four. (holic and tommyk are immediate exceptions, though) additionally, it appeared that we were the exception to the rule as our section was trolled by members who willingly supported ant for the alphadump (yep, i was the first to use that line) giveaway in hopes to gain brownie points/free deadener, yet noone was subject to disciplinary action however many times the thread was monitored by staff. we never deleted those posts as we did not believe in hiding what people say, however ill-contrived they could be. it prob didnt help that mot had/has a hard-on for sound_around the whole time... im sure he's still here, too //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
part of our reasoning to do so was that we have a very high intolerance to scammers, liars, dipshit wanna-be trolls, vendors/sellers who take advantage to con others, and mods who blatantly abuse their power to pander to the needs of shady folk. still to this day, i am loyal to the members (the good ones) who make up the c/a community to move it forward, and i will do whatever is within my power to expose these people for what they are. trust me, we're the good guys, but ca.com didnt see it that way,.. they had to take the first opportunity to ban juan who used his pp account to buy the section as the means to get rid of him and the section attached to him,..

the funniest thing was, is that mot immediately banned juan (he was the only one on that night) and subsequently had the section later deleted for something i posted in reply to holic while using the vendor account, being that we were partners, and all,.. an intelligent mod would have checked the ip's first and found that that specific post belonged to a verizon ip from chicagoland that matched mine and all of my prior posts' (lo-ki/honkyg), while juan always had an at&t account in the miami area,.. yet i was never banned.

Scammers are banned correct? That is with provided proof of one being scammed. That is how it works right?

This site is pretty f**cked.. Being a "MOD" who enforces the rules one would expect that the mod would be held to higher standards. How can you (ALL YOU MOD'S) justify giving someone the ban hammer when your co-worker (MoT) made a scam thread and screwed members of the site that your suppose to be protecting.. And if Goob dont give 2 *****'s about non-paying members then wtf is everyone hanging around for?? just my 2 cents.. members here could easily make a pool and start a new ca website.. hosting fees are roughly 100/year for great webhosting and it can be ran with enforced rules for all and higher expectations for the "Guardians" (MODERATORS) of the website. Come on, the old tymers on here are the ones who make this site.. they ARE the knowledge that drives noobs to the website and you treat them like dirt.. Alco is LITERALLY trying to run snoop off.. Mods and goob dont give 2 ***'s, so take your knowledge elsewhere and watch how quick this place dies.

I agree 100%!!!!!!!!!! Mods and members should not have ANY dealings together. And punishments for scamming/ trolling/ etc. etc. should be universal across the board regardless of vendor status or drinking buddy status or noob member status.

I know mike is a good guy and may be going through rough times right now, I am not referring to that situation. What I am asking about is, if I am scammed by say John Doe. I have valid proof of him doing so and provide it to said mod, will he be banned or not?

We are not co-workers, as we don't get paid, never have, never will. We cannot moderate each other for the most part, that is goob's domain. The whole point is for him to have trusted moderators on the staff so he does not have to.

So, the hierarchy is fucked.. from what holic is implying that if I were to get scammed its not in his mod status to help me out by locating an IP, or banning said member who scammed me. WTF?!
