Does bad reception come from the phone itself, the carrier, or alillte of both. I want to buy a motorolla but alot of people say they get bad reception. Does anyone know of a decent carrier and a reasonably priced phone with a camera that doesnt get bad reception constantly. think i might get a nokia 6101 an LG or samsung but really have no idea? Dont wanna get got!

I have the motorola v400 with cingular. Up until like the last couple of months my phone had reception everywhere i went. Then they merged with AT&T and now it sucks. When i get a call the signal just disappears, and when i hang up it will come back. I was told that the reception comes more from the towers but who knows, mine used to be good, now it sucks

most phones will be the same, its your service and where it has its towers.

That being said, I wouldn't touch a Motorola with a 10 foot pole ...

I had a Motorola, and it absolutely sucked balls. Worst (reception) phone ever //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif, but it survived a fall to the bottom of a lake loading ramp.. Underwater for 5 minutes and still worked... A week later, it shorted out.

cingular "merged" w/ at&t? pretty sure they bought out at&t wireless.......anyways.......reception is based almost soley on the proximity to the cellular tower.......now the range in which u can get a signal can be extended w/ an antenna of sorts......but its still based on the signal your phone gets from the antenna.....

well i see it denpends on where the towers are. Anyone got any recommendations on decent priced phones that seem to get a better reception than others. What do yall think of the Nokia 6101 or 6102.
