Yeah the Q is crap. Verizon needs to up the ante on their smart phone offerings.

Actually the battery life on the 6700 lasts longer than my 2 month old Nextel. 6700 definately gets my vote and is quicker than most Window's based phone's I've used. It has a nice feel to it but a bit chunky. I would say the internet an EV-DO are the strong points. I've had quite a few come back to me also with software issues so they do tend to crash, although its a easy fix. The 8700 is prolly more reliable but the 6700 has it beat in every other aspect.

functionality its been decent, although lags substantially at times, especially when tethering. Battery life has gotten me about..15-30 mins talk time.

do you know if the 6700 is capable of making/receiving calls while tethering? The Q certainly is not as it boots me regularly, but the BB 7130 did work fine.

Honestly, I'm not sure. I believe so but but not 100% positive.

Hmmm Ill have to check into it then. Most likely will be picking up one of these two tomorrow...
