Im thinking about stoping there on thursday on my way back to NY. I know the place is supposed ot be the best in the states. I was wondering if anyone has any expereince with the park and how busy it might be on thursday. I know its the weekend of the 4th and I just dont want to go there if its going to be a complete mad house and I wont be able to ride all the coasters. Anyone live in the area or know much about it?

If you're going to Cedar Point, go early and make it an all day event. You can't just show up, ride all the coasters in an hour or 2, then jet. Lines can be anywhere from 10 minutes to 2 hours long depending on the coaster and how busy it is. It's been in the 90's here all week and is gonna be the same through the weekend, so it will probably be pretty packed.

It's definitely worth the wait though, you won't regret it.

Cedar point is fun if you like big roller coasters.... and spending a chit load of money...

Yeah I was definitly going to get there right when it opens and stay till it closes. I just wanna make sure that I will be able to ride all the big guys there. Im not overly concerend about anything else except for the real extreme coasters. I think if I hit those all when it opens then I should be alright and will be able to get all of it done. Im jsut scared that its going to be an absolute mad house there, and im going to get screwed with 2+ hour waits.

Suprisingly, the park isn't as busy as you would think on the 4th of July. A lot of people think "OK, 4th of July, it's going to be packed so I'm not going to go until a week or two after" which creates less traffic in the park. As said above, definately make it an all day event. I went the day after prom (it was a Friday, May 18th or something like that) and I never waited more than an hour for any coaster and I rode everything.

Im pumped to go it looks like there are some crazy a$$ coasters there! Do you know of any discounts on tickets at all? I know at 6 flags you can bring a coke can and get 10 bucks knocked off the ticket.

Definitely make it an all day thing. Sweet park. Me and the ex went last summer... left at about 6:00am came home at 3:00am the next morning.

Check out some of the food booth things they get girls from like germany and shit that are pretty hott.

Stop at a Meijer in Ohio and buy your tickets there. I think they're something like $38 a piece.

really funny you bring this up, as my band and I + manager and my friend are going tomorrow!!!

we're in Cinci right now on the road and we're headed up there tomorrow on our way to New Jersey,.

i've been there twice before and its fkin AMAZING. definitely worth any drive, any plane ride IMO, but i love coasters.

its so fun, i'm very excited to go.

Cedar Point is definitely worth the drive; x2 on Meijers, and yes, wait in line for a loong time for the main attractions (Millenium Force, etc.)

I stayed at a hotel right there off of 90 so I got 10 bucks off of each ticket, but ended up using the money saved to pay for a hotel in the area, oh well.

The Top thrill Dragster...holy crap that thing is no joke!! 120mph!!! That was amazing along with the initial drop on the Millennium Force! maXair was a great ride too!

Simply amazing amusement park!

There was a decent amount of people there, though not as bad as I thought it would be. Longest line was for the Top Thrill which was about an 1.5 hours.
