ok i plan on doing a cdt classic system id like to know what you guys think the end results would be.

this is what i plan on purchasing for my 88 chevy astro van

front speakers = cl-641 3-way comp set

rear speakers = cl-61 2-way comp set

subwoofers = 4 cl-1215 fully powered

amps and head unit are still in the air.

I'd save a little money and use the CL-6x's instead of the CL-61's in the rear. Unless you had your heart set on comps...

I would want to temper the higher frequencies coming from the rear.

yea i dont think you need two sets of comps, its going to throw off your imaging unless you really take time to measure and calculate where you are going to put that extra set of tweeters. I have a set of audiobahn 4x10 comps pointing forwards all the way from the back in my suburban and it adds a lot of airyness and depth to the sound, it really elevates the soundstage which makes most material i play sound better than normal.
